Anticipation and excitement need not be limited to childhood, sporting events, and holiday seasons. It is possible to deliberately create significant levels of anticipation, excitement, and fulfillment on a regular basis by remembering to focus on three simple but strikingly powerful life-enhancing practices:
- Be Grateful. Life is something we never see coming and never know when is departing. By being grateful on purpose we acknowledge the gift of life and reenergize ourselves at the same time.
- Look to Explore. There is no finding or creating passion and purpose in life without exploring. Each day offers the chance to discover and engage something new, even if we are in the same place doing the same thing. New adventures and discoveries have more to do with inner attitude than outer location.
- Own Your Joy. As children, we never hesitate to express our full feelings about being fully satisfied. Being free to express our joy enhances our experience of joy.
